Domus 1950–1959 (Sourcebook)
A reprint collection of the best Domus magazine coverage from the 1950s, an era of post-war optimism and growing internationalism in architecture and design. Highlights include Le Corbusier's design of the United Nations Building in New York, the Case Study Houses of Charles and Ray Eames, Richard Neutra's work in California, Olivetti office machines, ceramics and tables by Ettore Sottsass, and Alexander Girard's Herman Miller Showroom in San Francisco. Domus was founded in 1928 by Milanese architect and designer Gio Ponti as a "living diary" and has since been considered one of the most influential architecture and design journals in the world. Edited by Charlotte and Peter Fiell, with contributions from Lisa Licitra Ponti, Ettore Sottsass Jr., and Luigi Spinelli. Preserves the magazine's original layouts and captions.
