Objectified (DVD)

A documentary examining humanity's relationship with manufactured objects and the designers who create them, from toothbrushes to tech gadgets. Through vérité footage and interviews, the film profiles industrial designers discussing personal expression, identity, consumerism, and sustainability, including Paola Antonelli, Chris Bangle, and Erwan Bouroullec. Directed by Gary Hustwit, the second film in his design trilogy following "Helvetica" and preceding "Urbanized." Premiered at South by Southwest in 2009.
